Reaction : Rise of the TMNT first article

Cast for Nickelodeons Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesSince 1987 the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been going through reboots.  MWS was the first to really change the Turtles, with David Wise as the writer who had the job to make these Turtles kid friendly.  With every new incarnation of the Turtles, comes big changes.  Some changes stay, some changes are only in those incarnation of these characters.  Each ride is it’s own adventure which has it’s beginning middle and end.  As fans, the best we can do is see where the creative team takes us, and hopefully enjoy the ride.  A new ride is starting, with Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Kodak Moment #66

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is Bill Wolf and I.

San Diego Comic Art Gallery

In August 1994 I made a trip to Northampton, Mass with my mother and sister.  We were only going to get photos of the outside of Mirage Studios, but found something so much more exciting to do.  We learned of the Words & Pictures Museum.  A museum owned by Kevin Eastman, and nicknamed by the residents as “The Turtle Museum”.  Inside there was original TMNT art, other amazing comic artwork, areas where people could draw and even a store.

Midwest Media Expo 2015 TMNT Cartoon Panel

I always enjoy sharing information about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with fellow fans.  Midwest Media Expo is one of the fun conventions that brings me in yearly to talk Turtles, where I often get to share the floor with Andre from Black Nerd Comedy.  Where the two of us can bring more TMNT history to life for fans.  Together we cover whatever topic is at hand, in this panel we’re talking about the history of the TMNT Cartoon series.

Review "Newtralized!" Nick TMNT #43

I know I am behind in my  reviews of the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.  This has not been due to the lack of watching the show, but more the lack of time.  I have kept up every week with Nickelodeon’s TMNT.   One thing I want to do now, is take the time to catch up on the past episodes with some short reviews working my way up to the recent stuff.   Here is my review  of “Newtralized!” from Season 2.

Review "The Lonely Mutation of Baxter Stockman" Nick TMNT #42

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve sat down and reviewed the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.  This has not been due to the lack of watching the show, but more the lack of time.  I have kept up every week with Nickelodeon’s TMNT.   One thing I want to do now, is take the time to catch up on the past episodes with some short reviews working my way up to the recent stuff.   Here is my review  of “The Lonely Mutation of Baxter Stockman” an episode from Season 2.

Review: Half Shell Heroes Dinos and Turtles and "Blast into the Past" Special

Last week we shared the review for “Blast into the Past” A big Golden Book.  It’s based on the new Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Special.  This week, we’re bringing our focus back there, as “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Blast into the Past” airs on TV for it’s first time on November 22nd.  This review brings us right to the heart of the special, Playmates Toys.  Inspired by the Half Shell Heroes toys, here is my review of the 2pack sets of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dinos.

Review: "Blast to the Past" a Big Golden Book

Back in the day the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys inspired characters that appeared in the original TMNT cartoon from Groundchuck, Dirtbag to Chrome Dome.  Other times ideas for the Turtles spread from the toys to both the cartoon and archie comics, mainly the Cyber Turtles.  Though this is the first time ever where the toys inspired a full TV Special that is even getting books.  Inspired by the Half Shell Heroes line of Ninja Turtle toys, we get “Blast to the Past”, which also uses the old Cave Turtles and Dino toys, for designs and storyline for this TMNT adventure.  Here is my review of the

Review "Mazes and Mutants" Nick TMNT #41

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve sat down and reviewed the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.  This has not been due to the lack of watching the show, but more the lack of time.  I have kept up every week with Nickelodeon’s TMNT.   One thing I want to do now, is take the time to catch up on the past episodes with some short reviews working my way up to the recent stuff.  If you haven’t seen the season finale of Season 3, be ready for some epic fights, major emotional rides, some good laughs along with a new adventure.  Though that’s for a future review.  Right now I’m going to focus on “Mazes and Mutants” an episode from Season 2.
