CCN: Steve Varner TMNT interview 2012

In Cowabunga Corner #89 we introduced everyone to Steve Varner for an interview about his work on the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line.  In September 2012 I was able to catch up with Steve to talk about the Nickelodeon TMNT Toy line, Steve’s return  to TMNT.  He brought four of these awesome Turtle Toys to life from the summer 2012 first wave of  Nickelodeon’s TMNT.  Here I talk to him about his return, San Diego Comic Con International 2012 and the process they went through with Nickelodeon to make these new toys the marvels that we all enjoy at the stores today.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Toys is all the range right now, with Playmates TMNT waves hitting the stores and now LEGO and McDonalds jumping in on the action.  It’s great to get be able to share some behind the scene peeks with different companies.  We hope to keep meeting up with these fine folks who’ve made these toys possible and want to thank those who do take the time to talk with the Cowabunga Corner crew.  Please keep an eye on here  for toy reviews from these different toy lines and so much more.

Great interview as always..
Really cool to put a face to the fellow who crafted the tools I used to act out so many of my own tmnt stories as a kid.. Its cool that they had him do it again so my son can do the same.. he seems like such a likeable fellow.
