Directed by: Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski

Comments: This looks to be like an interesting movie and possibly one of the larger movies to be released this point of the year. It will definitely be beautifully done, considering the Wachowskis are directing. I am anxious to see this movie, and I do hope that it will be enjoyable. I don't see the Wachowskis reaching the fame again like they did with The Matrix. Though, you cannot deny that it will look great.

I'm not sure how I feel about Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum being the headlining stars of this film. However, I'm still going to give this movie a try and hope for the best. We need a good Science Fiction movie again.

SYNOPSIS: n a time long past, an evil is about to be unleashed that will reignite the war between supernatural forces and humankind. Master Gregory (Jeff Bridges), the last of the Falcon Knights, had imprisoned the malevolently powerful witch, Mother Malkin (Julianne Moore), many years ago, but now she has escaped and is seeking vengeance. Summoning her followers of every incarnation, Mother Malkin is preparing to unleash her terrible wrath on an unsuspecting world. Only one thing stands in her way: Master Gregory. In a deadly reunion, Gregory comes face to face with the evil he always feared would someday return. He has only until the next full moon to do what usually takes years: train his new apprentice, Tom Ward (Ben Barnes) to fight a dark magic unlike any other. Man's only hope lies in the seventh son of a seventh son.

Starring:  Alicia Vikander, Ben Barnes, Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore

Directed By: Sergey Bodrov

Comments: While this movie has some interesting actors, I'm not sure if it will do well. It's very hard for a fantasy movie to do well in this day and age. I was pleasantly surprised with the Lord of the Rings movies did as well as they did, but they had an enormous fan base with the original novels, and it was spectacularly done with love and care by a fan of the books. It seems that recent fantasy movies only do well with their is a strong fan base with the original content. Original fantasy movies do not seem to do as well. I've also not heard of Sergey Bodrov as a director before. To me, this doesn't bode well for the movie, espeically with it going up against another larger movie this weekend. Though we will just have to wait and see.

SYNOPSIS: Life is dandy in Bikini Bottom for SpongeBob Squarepants (Tom Kenny) and his friends Patrick (Bill Fagerbakke), Squidward (Rodger Bumpass), Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown) and Sandy (Carolyn Lawrence). However, when the top-secret recipe for Krabby Patties is stolen, SpongeBob finds that he must join forces with perpetual adversary Plankton (Mr. Lawrence) and come ashore to battle a fiendish pirate named Burger Beard (Antonio Banderas), who has his own plans for the delicious delicacies.

Starring: Antonio Banderas, Clancy Brown, Tom Kenny, Slash, Christopher Backus, Mr. Lawrence, Bill Fagerbakke

Directed by: Paul Tibbitt

Comments: I have never, ever found myself a fan of SpongeBob. I have always quivered whenever I even heard it. I know it is thoroughly enjoyed by kids, but this is just something that sends me running in the complete opposite direction. To know that this has been able to be around for years, not only as a television series, but also multiple movies, makes me worry for the upcoming generations. If you can't tell, I will certainly be avoiding this movie at all costs.

Blu-Rays

Blu-Ray Features: Don’t F*#% With John Wick. Calling in the Cavalry. Destiny of a Collective. Assassin’s Code. Red Circle. NYC Noir. Audio Commentary with Filmmakers Chad Stahelski and David Leitch.

Comments: I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by John Wick . One of my friends told me I had to go see it and that it was better than the previews made it seem. My friend was certainly correct. I really enjoyed almost everything about this movie. I may pick it up on blu-ray at some point.

Deleted Scenes with Optional Commentary by Director Gary Shore and Production Designer François Audouy. Day in the Life - Luke Evans. Dracula Retold. Slaying 1000. The Land of Dracula. Feature Commentary with Director Gary Shore and Production Designer François Audouy.

Comments: Eh, I don't really have a whole lot to say about Dracula Untold. I saw the trailers for it, and didn't find myself very interested in watching this movie. There are just some movies that come out that do not catch my attention at all. This was one of those movies.

SYNOPSIS: A group of friends must confront their most terrifying fears when they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board.

Starring: Ana Coto, Bianca A. Santos, Daren Kagasoff, Douglas Smith, Olivia Cooke

Directed by: Stiles White

Blu-Ray Features: The Spirit Board: An Evolution. Adapting the Fear. Icon of the Unknown.

Comments: Ouija is not a movie I have much to say about. It is a horror movie, but not one that I had to go see. I may catch this movie sometime on Netflix on a bored day. There's been a few times that I've found movies to be not terrible, if watched for free.

SYNOPSIS: Former high school sweethearts Dawson and Amanda find themselves reunited after 20 years apart, when they return to their small town for the funeral of a beloved friend. Their bittersweet reunion reignites the love they've never forgotten, but soon they discover the forces that drove them apart twenty years ago live on, posing even more serious threats today. Spanning decades, this epic love story captures the enduring power of our first true love, and the wrenching choices we face when confronted with elusive second chances.

Starring: James Marsden, Michelle Monaghan

Directed by: Michael Hoffman

Blu-Ray Features: "Tears of Joy" New Storyline and "Storybook" Alternate Ending. Deleted Scenes. Along for the Ride. Nicholas Sparks Interviews: Michelle and James. Nicholas Sparks Interviews: Liana and Luke. Director's Commentary by Michael Hoffman. Music Video: I Did – Lady Antebellum

Comments: Romance movies are not movies that I find myself watching, even when bored. The Best of Me is a movie based on work from the author of The Notebook. I really don't see myself even catching this movie on Netflix, if it ever shows up there.
