Kodak Moment #80

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is me in 1980.

Book Review: "Family Don't End with Blood"

Fandom is a strong part of my life.  For the past 29 years of my life I have been a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Fan, and 23 of those years I’ve been an active member of the TMNT online fandom.  Though I’ve always been proud and happy to share my fandom with others, even before the internet.  I find it hard to think that people feel they need to hide their passions and worry about what the world thinks, since all of us being different is what makes this world great.  I have embraced all sorts of fandoms, though can’t find myself taking a more active role in those other fandoms since my passion stays so much to the world of TMNT.  My other fandoms shine through more to the people that know me

My Useless VHS Collection

For what possible reason do I have to keep a collection of the 1987 series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles VHSs? They are not collector’s items, so they are worth no more than a few dollars a piece and can even be found for as little as 99 cents. Every single episode has been collected in a digital format that takes up way less space and has better audio and video. I even have the digital media files on a hard drive connected to a streaming device. I can even find it on YouTube, but the catch here is that you have to find a way to adjust the aspect ratio as they are often uploaded in 16:9 and the turtles are already short and stout enough as it is.

Review: IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Board Games

I recently was gifted a copy of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles board game Showdown and after playing it, I decided to finally buy another TMNT game called Shadows of the Past. I had coveted Shadows of the Past since I first saw their kickstarter campaign. The games are very different from one another, but both have something to offer. Popular board game reviewers have videos on YouTube that are far better at reviewing games than I am, so what you’re going to get here is the viewpoint of a slightly more experienced than average board game player (notice I didn’t mention skill) and a lifelong obsessed Ninja Turtles fan.
