Kodak Moment #95

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is the “Early Bird Reward”.

Review: "The Hobbit"

TheHobbitMiddle Earth once again is brought to life on the big screen in Peter Jackson’s newest film “The Hobbit”.  Based on the book, Peter went in and brought the characters to life and on a roller coaster of adventures.  I was thrilled when we got tickets to this movie.  With knowing how great the Lord of the Ring saga was, I knew this was a not to miss movie.  I have not read the books, though I have seen the old animated movie of the Hobbit, a long time ago, which I barely remember.  So my review of this film is from the mind of someone new to the story and not comparing to the book.

Movie Review: Madagascar 3

In 2005 a series of movies started, it was just seen as another CGI film at the time about zoo animals.  These zoo animals get in trouble and are shipped away from their home.  Their goal was to try and find away home.  Though things got rough and they were trapped at their new home.  One of the big draws for this movie was the star list of voice actors they had and of course that the movie is from DreamWorks made it very appealing for moviegoers as well.  Who would have guessed that this film would get two sequels and even a spin-off CGI series?   This week, their third film comes to theaters!

Review: Pirates Band of Misfits

With all sorts of CGI movies coming out these days, it’s a breath of fresh air to see an animated movie that is not CGI.  “The Pirates! Band of Misfits” is a great movie coming to theaters this Friday, full of laughs, adventure, and fun characters.  Originally this movie was titled “The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists”, which made a lot more sense as these Pirates find themselves entering a Scientist of the Year contest.

Review: The Legends of Korra

"Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" Review

Disney has been riding the wave of success with their Pirates of the Caribbean movies.  Three very successful movies have come and gone that were closely tied together with a flowing plot that brought you from one movie into the next.  With adventure, comedy, and great effects, the movies made their mark in the box offices.  Of course it did not hurt that they all starred named actors like Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom.  Though Disney was not done with Pirates, as they are releasing their fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie this upcoming Friday.

Movie Review: Hop

Easter. One of those holidays that come around every year which millions of people take part in.  With a very religious history to it, it’s still has a light and kid friendly theme to the holiday itself.  Over the years, much like Christmas, the religious side to Easter is covered up a lot by the hype as all the stores sell Easter bunnies, peeps, and Easter egg coloring sets.  The one area where I never felt Easter touched that most other holidays have gotten down for children is movies.
