Review of "Rise of the TMNT : Facebook Live"

The internet exploded shortly after the designs for the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series was released in February.  As fans of all ages found themselves split down the middle upon the new look and feel for the Ninja Turtles, as there’s no question that this is a road they’ve never been on before.  I tried to write one story that would include my thoughts on the Facebook Live, designs, show overall and even the toys.  But it got long and hard to write, let alone read.  Which brings me here, where I’m going to give a short write up about each of the things revealed about “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”.  Starting with their

San Diego Comic Art Gallery

In August 1994 I made a trip to Northampton, Mass with my mother and sister.  We were only going to get photos of the outside of Mirage Studios, but found something so much more exciting to do.  We learned of the Words & Pictures Museum.  A museum owned by Kevin Eastman, and nicknamed by the residents as “The Turtle Museum”.  Inside there was original TMNT art, other amazing comic artwork, areas where people could draw and even a store.

Kodak Moment #32

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is from my days as a Turtle.

IDW TMNT #44... RIP Donatello??

Drawn by Michele IveyIDW has made a big move with IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #44 as Donatello takes the beating of a life time from two of TMNT’s top known henchmen, Bebop and Rocksteady.  This has become the talk of the fandom all around the internet.  Though the question is… did they Kill Donatello?!

No spoilers being given here.  All I can say is that there is a page being passed around online that seems to answer this question.  Yes we have seen the page, but would rather discuss the current issue itself.

The end of the TMNT 30th Anniversary Party

Christmas is over for 2014, which brings us to the countdown of the days to end the year.  Ones begin to reflect back upon the events of the year.  The good, the bad and the relaxing times.  Each of us out there celebrating one thing or another, as we hold close whatever is dear in our hearts.  Some of us will miss 2014, while others pray for a better new year.  For TMNT fans, this new year brings forth the end of the 30th anniversary celebration.  This is a short look back at the things done for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles turning 30.

Happy Birthday TMNT! 2014 - Creation

On November 19th, 1983 Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird created the TMNT.  The two of them made history that day, by bringing characters to life who would soon touch the life of millions.  Little did they know the impact their artwork could have on the world.

31 years since they were first drawn with so much done.  There are still many roads for the TMNT to take in the future!

Comic Con International 2014: TMNT Movie Panel

Review: Nick TMNT #38 "Of Rats and Men"

In the first season of Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles they brought the Rat King into the show.  Showing that he wants the rule the city and wants Splinter to work for him.  Even though he was defeated, the war is far from over.  In the episode “Of Rats and Men” from season 2 of TMNT, Rat King makes his next move.  Here is my review for “Of Rats and Men”, an episode that would creep anyone with musophobia out.

Comic Con International: TMNT 30th Anniversary Panel

Comic Con International 2014 came and went so fast this year.  With so much going on, I have not been able to share all the awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles events that went on over that weekend.  This year Comic Con went TMNT crazy with panels worth going too all weekend long.  The new movie was in Hall H, the Turtle Power Doc was held that same day, followed by Playmates Toys, Nickelodeon, and the 30th Anniversary Panel.  I want to share a full rundown of the weekend, though going to work my way up to that by sharing the panels first.  This here is the TMNT 30th Anniversary Panel.
