Review: Disney Star Wars Weekends

Movie Review: "Star Trek: Into the Dark"

Growing up I have always known of Star Trek, it was one of those things that I would see on the TV often. While no one in my family is Trekkies, we would watch the series when they were on. I personally enjoyed Next Generation and Voyager. Though by no means would I say I’m a Trekkie or even a Trekker.

Review: Nickelodeon 1 Hour TMNT Premiere!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Heroes in a half shell, Turtle power!   Saturday September 29th, 2012 the NEW Nickelodeon TMNT show did an hour long showing with two episodes from the new series.  And if you knew about it, there was a sneak peek of that first episode on Friday September 28th.  What an awesome time for TMNT fan, and one crazy adventure for me to just try and see the new series.  Let me tell you my story...

Movie Review: Ted

Over the years cartoons got known to be something for children or family entertainment.  Though some shows have rocked that boat to remind people that animation is for people of all ages including adults.  Shows like “The Simpsons”, “Family Guy” and “South Park” have got people a bit more wary of thinking that every cartoon is for kids.  Though when you see a soft fluffy teddy bear being animated on the big screen, it’s hard to think it’s not for children.  Which leads us to a new movie coming to theaters this week, “Ted”.

Movie Review: Rock of Ages

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a new musical.  I enjoy musicals for the most part.  The last one I saw at the theaters that really stood out to me was a film called “Across The Universe” which used only Beatles music.  So this one, which focuses on Rock N’ Roll from the 1980’s had my attention, it’s called “Rock of Ages” and takes place in Hollywood in 1987.  Growing up I listened more to music from the 1960’s, so I was not sure how much I was going to get into this film, going in I did not even know the plot of the film.

Movie Review: Madagascar 3

In 2005 a series of movies started, it was just seen as another CGI film at the time about zoo animals.  These zoo animals get in trouble and are shipped away from their home.  Their goal was to try and find away home.  Though things got rough and they were trapped at their new home.  One of the big draws for this movie was the star list of voice actors they had and of course that the movie is from DreamWorks made it very appealing for moviegoers as well.  Who would have guessed that this film would get two sequels and even a spin-off CGI series?   This week, their third film comes to theaters!

World Steam Expo: Aegis 2011

In our coverage of the 2011 World Steam Expo, Star and I came to a room that had some interesting stuff going on.  We went in and talked to the different workers who ran this room.  Personally, my favorite thing in the room was the knife throwing.  Check out our video here to find out what other cool stuff this group does at the event.

World Steam Expo 2011

The World Steam Expo.  Steam Punk?  My first thought was Punk Rock, and I never was a fan of that.  Though people tried to explain it to me, even showed me web pages and videos for Steam Punk, the full idea just seemed so different to me.  I was not grasping the idea of this event, and once I read the events at the expo I almost felt like it was a fashion show with many panels on how to put your costumes together, making the props, and being in character.

Puppet Improv: For a TMNT Contest

This is a short improv video I did with some friends for a contest on facebook. The puppets were both made by my dad, as I wanted to do something different for the video. Though with a lot going on, we were in a rush putting this together. Originally I was going to try and script it out and we were going to film in a handful of locations. Though instead everything was done at my house, first part in the Cowabunga Corner set and the second part outside in my drive way, no script.
